You will build relationships to manage and influence stakeholders, both internally and externally. You will build a strong working relationship with your clients and support the construction lead in turning the client’s vision into a deliverable onsite plan. During the proposal stage assist the submissions team in preparing the method statement, logistics plans and potential health, safety and environment issues. Walking the site and evaluates design information; reviews drawings and specifications. Ensuring approval of any temporary works. Ensuring mobilisation meetings are being carried out. Producing the health and safety project executive plan. During the handover stage of the project, the construction manager compiles the snag list; supervise site clean; and confirms completion of work. Responsible for arranging and chairing design meetings and workshops including the management of samples, mock-ups etc. as detailed in the quality plan. Confirming the method statement and risk assessments are reviewed and are at an approved standard prior to works activities commencing. Ensuring safety managers are part of joint approval process. Chairing daily meetings with sub-contractor’s site management or site walk around and formal meeting minutes taken if required. Reviewing new construction issue drawings and review answers to RFI’s and newly issued change requests. Meeting to be held with PM and cost manager to discuss. Reviewing bid information and acquaint themselves with the content of the packages and the value of the elements that they are managing. Ensuring safety tours and on-site method statement reviews are being carried out and file in yellow jacket. You will support the senior construction delivery team in influencing the long term development of strategy for a function or business unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future. You will provide technical expertise and support to delivery teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities. You’ll need to have\: A relevant degree qualification. You have HND or HNC qualification in construction or other similar background. You have professional membership. A valid CSCS card and SMSTS training. You are familiar with NEC Option C contracts and target cost. Good knowledge of health and safety and CDM requirements. Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You'll also have: Working towards membership of MCIOB/MAPM/MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Construction management expertise. Developing commercial and financial acumen. Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams. Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on. Lead and direct the Construction works delivery team to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measure. Produce, review, amend, approve and submit to project teams the DWWP process for all project work. Manage the process to handover assets being renewed, installed, or modified by the delivery team.
