Job summary
The Nephrology and Transplant Outpatients Department are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking nurse to join our busy department. The successful candidate will be part of an expert clinical team who provide an integral part of the patient journey.
You will be required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be required to respond to changing situations and identify appropriate measure to maintain safety of care.
If successful you will have access to our growing Nurse Education team, who will support you in your individualized development plan. Also the opportunity to undertake the specific Renal Masters Module run through Swansea University.
Main duties of the job
This role includes both the outpatient clinic andthe renal day unit, focusing on the delivery of IV therapiesand testing for a variety of renal conditions- skills in cannulation, venepuncture and wound care are an asset.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to work as part of a team is essential. Knowledge of outpatient work would be useful but training and support will be provided. Commitment to professional development must be demonstrated.
Shift Pattern: Weekdays -
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
