We require a Supervisory Worker who will contribute to the day to day operational management responsibility for each house, and work flexibly providing management cover over both houses. You will be committed to the Council of the Future agenda as well as the service specific priorities within the Children's' Services Closer to Home Strategy and The Promise. You will support the Residential Manager and Senior Workers to lead the service through a process of change and development. You will contribute to the service development plans and their effective implementation for both houses and oversee staff training and development. You will promote a culture of continuous improvement and undertake quality improvement tasks. You will have responsibility for:
* staff support and supervision and managing staff time.
* contribute to management of the budget.
* contribute to the management of sickness absence and reporting systems.
* contribute to monitoring health and safety and ensuring the service fulfils its statutory responsibilities.
* lead in promoting trauma informed practice.
* be involved chairing meetings and attending reviews.
We are seeking a skilled, motivated and inspirational Supervisory Worker to join our management team., It is desirable that the post holder has a Degree level qualification and/or SVQ4 however we will look at candidates who have relevant experience in a supervisory category and are willing to work towards the relevant management qualification.
Knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, best practice and innovation in a relevant field is essential. You must have the ability to be mobile across the Council area. Shifts include weekends, public holidays, evenings and nights.
