Job summary We have an opportunity for a Sister/Charge nurse post to join our Acute Paediatric team. Within the Paediatric department we do cover Medical Day Unit, Adolescent/PAU and HDU ward, which allows you to experience new areas and skills, and to gain oversight in all aspects of the Paediatric unit within Midland Metropolitan Hospital. We are looking for nurses with leadership experience, or willingness to develop in a leadership role. Main duties of the job Managing a small team of staff and identifying training and development needs through personal development reviews. Co-ordinate shifts and act as the Nurse in charge. To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual programmes of nursing care. Maximize opportunities for Health promotion To work as deputy to the ward/department manager to coordinate all ward activities. co ordinate nursing activity within the clinical setting. Promote and support development, offering preceptorship and mentorship.
