We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher of History to join a secondary school in Leeds. This full:time role commences in January 2025 and offers a rewarding opportunity to shape the historical understanding of students from Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Contract: Full time
Pay Rate: GBP150 : GBP223 per day (UPS rates considered)
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience as a Teacher of History
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness ).
* Eligibility to work in the UK.

* Strong subject knowledge with a passion for History.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
* Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and high:quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
* Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to cater to varying learning needs and abilities.
* Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback to students and parents.
* Prepare students for GCSE and A:Level examinations, ensuring high academic standards.
* Contribute to the development of the History department by sharing resources and ideas.
* Support school:wide initiatives, including extracurricular activities and pastoral responsibilities.
* Maintain up:to:date knowledge of teaching practices and historical developments.
* Uphold and promote the schools values, safeguarding policies, and commitment to student welfare.
* Formative and Summative assessment
