About the opportunity:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in a lot of client meetings and ensure each project is profitable for the company. You will be reporting to the Commercial Manager who will mentor, coach, and help develop your ability. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly payment applications; measure and value works undertaken on site; carry out months CVR’s; prepare early warning notices and compensation events; review client contracts; negotiate and prepare contractual variations with clients; assess subcontractor applications and ensure variations are captured to name just a few duties.
The types of projects will be a variety of different utility projects - multi utilities, substations, water mains, and infrastructure projects, dealing with large Tier One Commercial contractors.
About the benefits and rewards:
For this opportunity, my client is targeting professionals who are looking to earn anywhere between £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, a generous benefits package will be offered which includes reimbursement of travel, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and enrolment on to the pension scheme.
About the requirements:
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will be degree qualified in a related discipline (Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management) and hold a minimum of 4 years’ experience working for an ICP/Multi Utility contractor. You must hold experience and good working knowledge of NEC3 and JCT contracts and experience with pre and post contract work.
