Job overview
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Pharmacy Department are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic pharmacist to provide support to the homecare team to ensure a safe and effective service to patients. The role will also support on the delivery of the high-cost drugs agenda for the trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to support and develop the homecare pharmacy service at UHDB, ensuring the service follows local and national standards and policies ensuring the safe, clinical and cost-effective use of high-cost drugs across UHDB. Also working closely with a number of external stakeholders including ICB, NHSE, homecare providers, EMPC and the regional homecare team.
This role is a cross-site role working at both Queens Hospital Burton and the Royal Derby Hospital site.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the homecare team and high-cost drugs team to support and promote the safe and effective use of high-cost drugs across UHDB. Ensuring cost-effective use of high-cost drugs to ensure resources are used appropriately.
If you are a registered pharmacist with hospital experience with a desire to develop yourself further, this may be the post for you.
