About you: We have created 6 temporary T Level Internship roles, available to Wigan and Leigh College students who have previously completed a T Level placement with us. Each internship will be for maximum of 200 hours, these hours are flexible and can fit around your university studies or can be completed as a block of hours. About us: The internships will allow you to develop your skills and gain value work experience in one of the following services: Digital Inclusion Team or Adult Social Care and Health. Take a look at the teams supporting the internships: Digital Inclusion Team x 2 Internships Base Wigan Town Hall, Library Street Wigan You will work with our Digital Inclusion Team, playing a crucial role in supporting residents to become digitally enabled, confident and self-reliant. Your focus will be on addressing digital exclusion among various groups. Engaging with community partners to promote digital inclusion initiatives. You will support the Virtual Reality programme to enable transformative experiences for residents that nurtures emotional connection and cognitive well-being. You will also be working to establish a virtual reality lending library for our Digital Communities Partnership. This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Procedures plus Child and Adult barred list check Adult Social Care and Health x 4 Internships You will be based at one of the following: The Zone, Robin Park Leisure Centre, Loire Drive, Wigan Central Day Centre, Sullivan Way, Wigan Etherstone Day Centre, Etherstone Street, Leigh Broadmead Day Centre, Golborne Road, Lowton You will gain an insight into the role of a support worker learning the skills needed to be a successful in the role. You will meet our customers who may be living with dementia, have a learning disability and or autism. Your role will be to work as part of a team assisting with day-to-day activities which include making refreshments for the people who attend the centre, supporting with stimulating activities for the day, chatting to customer learning about them as a person. You will also learn the health and safety aspects of working within a day centre.
