Accounts Assistant required for a 12 month fixed term contract in North Tyneside. Company A thriving and successful privately owned SME within the construction sector. The Role An Accounts Assistant role to join a small but busy accounts team on a 12-month fixed term contract, due to a new contract win. This office-based role offers the potential for one day per week working from home after probation.Key responsibilities include:Processing purchase orders, matching invoices, and ensuring approvals are in placeReconciling supplier statementsAssisting with bank and balance sheet reconciliationsHandling some accounts receivable tasksSupporting the Manager with material quotations for smaller maintenance works, including obtaining prices, typing up quotes, and coordinating orders and deliveriesGeneral administrative duties, including answering phone calls and entering timesheet information Experience Required Previous experience in an accounts role with a strong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooksA professional, friendly telephone manner and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues Remuneration Up to £28,000 per annum39 hours per week25 days holiday plus bank holidaysThis is a permanent position and Corepeople Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.By applying for this job you accept the T&Cs, Privacy Notice and Disclaimers which can be found on our website.
