Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Care:
o Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
o Provide support with mobility and transferring (e.g., bed to wheelchair).
o Help with eating and drinking, including feeding if necessary.
2. Medication Assistance:
o Administer prescribed medication under supervision.
o Monitor and remind clients of medication schedules.
3. Domestic Assistance:
o Support with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
o Assist with shopping and running errands.
4. Companionship:
o Engage clients in conversations and activities to improve mental and emotional well-being.
o Accompany clients to appointments, social events, or on outings.
5. Health Monitoring:
o Monitor clients’ health, report any changes or concerns to a supervisor.
o Assist in basic health checks, such as blood pressure or temperature (where trained).
6. Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of care provided and observations on clients' conditions.
o Report any incidents or concerns to the supervisor or healthcare professional.
7. Emotional Support:
o Provide reassurance and emotional support to clients and their families.
o Encourage independence wherever possible, promoting dignity and respect.
8. Health & Safety:
o Follow proper health and safety procedures to ensure both personal safety and the safety of the client.
o Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
