Job overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated, HCPC registered, radiographers to join our Imaging team at Charing Cross Hospital.
This post will give you the opportunity to build upon and extend your clinical skills and provide the opportunity to train in CT & MRI. You should enjoy working collaboratively to provide the best possible care for our patients at all times. You will need excellent communication skills and have a flexible approach to work, as participation in extended working hours including evenings and weekends is essential.
Main duties of the job
* To assist in the provision of an efficient radiology service.
* To work as part of a multi-disciplinary imaging team providing a high-quality diagnostic service.
* To provide high-quality, safe, effective and patient centred care.
* To develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development (CPD).
Person specification
Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
* BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent.
* Health and Care Professions Council Registration.
* Evidence of career-long commitment to CPD.
Desirable criteria
* Student Clinical Assessors Course.
* Postgraduate study in a relevant area.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Up to date knowledge of relevant modality imaging techniques.
* Awareness of clinical governance issues in relation to patient care.
* Experience of working unsupervised.
* Experience of working within the NHS.
Desirable criteria
* Experience in modalities other than X-ray & Fluoroscopy.
Skills Knowledge & Abilities
Essential criteria
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Basic computer and keyboard skills with a good standard of Microsoft office skills.
* Ability to work using own initiative but also to know when to seek assistance and guidance.
* Active participation in audit & research.
