Your role as the Corporate Health and Safety Specialist (CHaSS) will see you work with the H&S Profession Technical Lead, System Safety Principal, Safety Change Leader and Head of Safety to ensure consistency and continuity of safety messaging and strategic change across Dstl. This role requires you to be able to drive the business forward implementing the highest standards of safety, supporting initiatives and ensuring the continuous improvement within our safety practices and thinking across Dstl to ensure our values are met. Job description In this role you will: Engage with and be the active Interface between the Corporate H&S and Business Areas to assure that H&S is being consistently delivered according to the Dstl vision, strategy, policy, processes and systems. Deliver monitor and support assurance across Business Area activities for Dstl acting as the independent mind and conscious for the Business Areas. Support and advise key stakeholders on the planning, implementation and review of Dstl Health and Safety Processes and Systems, supporting change through coaching and mentoring and practical support. Support the Risk, Assurance and Governance (RAG) team with corporate investigation as either lead investigators or a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Support the scheduling and delivery of assurance to evaluate the compliance and effectiveness of H&S systems and processes and identify improvements.
