The Services Project Specialist role sits within the Services Project Management team for
the VWTS Asset Team based at the Peterborough Service Centre. The team is responsible for ensuring a world class service in providing a wide range of industrial Customers with hire of temporary water treatments solutions across Europe. The team are responsible throughout the whole life of the service contract from receipt of customer order to the issuing of final invoice.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead the execution of small-medium scale & emergency contracts for rental of
temporary water treatment solutions.
● Provide support to project managers for larger or more complex projects where
required.
● On call support for emergency deployments & technical support such as trouble
shooting out of hours. This is in weekly rotation with others as part of an on-call
support team.
● Coordinate & communicate directly with key stakeholders Customers, internal
teams & 3rd party suppliers to ensure a comprehensive handover & completion at
each phase of projects end to end.
● Partners with support functions such as Logistics, Production, Maintenance, Sales,
Engineering & Field teams to enable the execution of their assigned projects.
● Provides oversight & reporting on overall contract compliance of assigned projects
including delivery & commissioning schedules, maximising uptime during operation
as well as quality & quantity of water produced.
● Reviews operational data from job sites, advises or coordinates technical support.
Leading issue escalation through to action follow-up and closure.
● Processing internal & external orders necessary for operations, maintenance and
repairs ( equipment trouble reports, purchase requests, vendor invoices)
● Responsibility for ensuring sufficient Customer purchase orders are available,
processing invoices correctly & on time as well as efficient execution of the project.
Therefore, minimising risks generating potential delays to delivery or Customer
payments or additional costs to the project.
● Actively participates in promoting Environment, Health & Safety standards in both the
Peterborough facility & their own remote project sites. Actions EHS concerns & works
to resolve near misses.
● Facilitate return on experience activities such as warp up meetings, lessons learned
or review of customer feedback to establish improvement areas & potential best
practices.
● Advocates continuous improvement by working towards related goals through the
completion of assigned improvement objectives.
Qualifications
Education:
● Graduate or comparable experience in a relevant STEM or industrial background.
Skills/Experience:
● Experience of or ability to learn about water treatment technologies – Filtration,
Reverse Osmosis, Ion Exchange.
● Experience working with or an aptitude to learn and use digital software packages
such as Microsoft office, Google, SAP or equivalent.
● Organised & self-motivated as well as the ability to adapt to multiple & changing
priorities.
● Can demonstrate ability to work as part of a team & willing to taking the lead when
required.
