What is the ‘official’ title for this role?
You’ll be reporting to our Executive Director, Gregg Crawford.
Who reports directly to you?
This role doesn’t hold any managerial responsibilities however you will lead a team who help you achieve great outcomes for our clients, such as a dedicated Paraplanner and Client Services administrator.

In your role you will be dealing with clients directly to help change their lives for the better. This will involve work with both new clients and those who have already started their journey with IFP.
As a Financial Planner, you will play a vital role in guiding our clients toward achieving their financial goals. By understanding their unique circumstances and dreams, you will provide independent advice and recommendations to help them achieve their aspirations and financial security.

Key Responsibilities:
* Qualifying new leads that are received by the business through various sources.
* Providing a holistic financial planning service to all clients who fall within our target market. This will include Ongoing Strategy Meetings, dealing with all day-to-day administration and handling ad-hoc tasks as and when these arise.
* Ensuring that the client file including Fact Find, Adviser meeting notes and associated documents are fully and comprehensively complete.
* Working collaboratively with support staff to ensure work in progress is completed within the specified timescales and is wholly accurate, guaranteeing clients always receive a high standard of advice and care.
* Providing support and training to educate and guide other staff members.
* To assist with company, focus group projects, providing technical expertise as required.
* Ensuring processes and workflows are followed in line with IFP standards.
* Maintaining your daily task organiser, planning your workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Delivering an efficient, friendly, and professional service for all clients, providers, professional partners, and visitors.
* Working in line with IFP’s CPD scheme and T&C scheme and ensuring your annual Statement of Professional Standing is up to date.
* Looking for new business opportunities to enhance your own and IFP’s client base. This will include working with external professional partners, encouraging client referrals and networking to raise IFP’s brand awareness.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Achieved CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential).
* Achieved CII Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner (desirable).
* Working towards CII Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner (essential). Chartered to be achieved within 36 months of employment commencing, subject to other timescales applicable to this qualification.
* Experience working with clients in a financial planner capacity (essential).
* Commitment towards personal development, particularly towards qualifications.
* Strong verbal communication, written communication, presentation and rapport building skills.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes and, desirably, Intelligent Office.
* Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
* Good grasp of English language and Mathematical concepts.
* Takes personal responsibility for consistently delivering high quality work with an excellent level of attention to detail.
* Ambition and drive to build professional connection relationships resulting in the generation of new leads for the business.
Location: Hessle, East Riding of Yorkshire. Remote working and travel may be required.
Contract Type: Full Time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary and Benefits:
Salary dependent on experience and qualification progress towards Chartered status.
Additional initial business remuneration package, adviser target linked bonus scheme and wider staff bonus scheme.
