The opportunity to join a pioneering company at the intersection of maritime and geospatial technology. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. With cutting-edge projects in central government and public sector domains, they are scaling rapidly and require a dedicated Project Manager to oversee multiple project streams, improve efficiency, and drive technical teams forward.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, delivery-focused Project Manager to work closely with the C-Suite, technical development teams, and end clients. You will be responsible for managing multiple project streams, ensuring deadlines are met, and supporting the scale-up of the business. This role is vital in overseeing technical teams until the new VP of Engineering is onboarded.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple concurrent projects across various end clients, ensuring timely delivery.
* Act as the primary link between technical development teams, C-Suite, VP of Engineering, and end clients.
* Supervise and drive efficiency within a 12-person development team (with plans for further expansion).
* Implement and refine project management processes to enhance productivity and scalability.
* Work within strict deadlines, ensuring projects align with business objectives.
* Play a key role in attracting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining top technical talent.
* Ensure effective stakeholder management and communication across the organisation.
* Maintain a structured and analytical approach to process improvement and project execution.
Requirements
* Proven experience in project management within a scale-up environment.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, liaising with both technical and executive teams.
* Background in technical project delivery, ideally within maritime, central government, or public sector projects.
* Ability to manage cross-functional teams and technical projects in a fast-paced setting.
* Passion for maritime technology and geospatial insights is a plus.
* Strong process, analytical, and planning skills to drive operational excellence.
* Experience managing teams of a similar size (12+) with plans for further scaling.
* Must be eligible for SC Clearance (British Citizen or ILR holder who's lived in the UK consecutively for the last 5 years)
