About the Role As a DT Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials, you will: Teach a dynamic and engaging curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering topics like product design, material properties, and practical manufacturing. Lead hands-on projects using wood, metal, plastics, and digital tools (e.g. CAD/CAM) to bring student ideas to life. Promote a safe, productive, and inclusive workshop environment. Support student progress through clear assessment and targeted feedback. Work closely with colleagues on curriculum planning and enrichment opportunities. Participate in extra-curricular activities such as DT clubs, practical workshops, or school events. ✅ Who We're Looking For We’re looking for a passionate and reflective ECT who: Holds or is on track to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by summer 2025. Has a degree in Design & Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field. Is enthusiastic about practical learning and engaging students through design and making. Demonstrates good communication, organisation, and classroom presence. Is eager to develop professionally and contribute to a strong department team.
