Accounts Assistant An exciting opportunity awaits as the Accounts Assistant at an award-winning specialist tour operator based in Dorking. This role involves managing purchase ledger responsibilities and supporting colleagues to ensure excellent customer service both internally and externally. Accounts Assistant - What will I be doing? Processing and approving invoices, maintaining purchase ledgers for specific destinations and GBP cost of sales. Querying invoices with suppliers/managers, obtaining necessary authorizations. Monitoring, categorising, and redirecting emails in the Accounts inbox. Ad hoc posting of payments and allocations. Purchase ledger statement reconciliations. Ad hoc reporting. Providing support and cover to the finance team during absences, peak times, or as business needs dictate. Creating and maintaining training files with concise and up-to-date notes. Accounts Assistant - What experience do I need? Previous experience within an accounts department (essential) Ability to maintain clear and accurate financial records. Strong numeracy skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving. Experience with Office 365. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Strong customer service focus and skills. Bonus: Experience using Sage. Accounts Assistant - What else do I need to know? You will be working in their fabulous offices in Dorking 2 days a week and 3 days working from home.
