SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Assists in providing great levels of customer service and the delivery of key departmental KPI’s by providing driver duties in a safe, compliant, courteous manner across the Rotrex Group and its clients.
OVERVIEW OF ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Enhanced Customer Experience: Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner during equipment collection and delivery to elevate their satisfaction levels.
2. Timely Delivery: Ensure punctual delivery and collection of equipment, demonstrating flexibility to accommodate customer demands and schedules.
3. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Provide precise information regarding equipment condition, noting any damages or missing components, to facilitate smooth rental processes.
4. Maintain Standards: Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding quality, safety, health, and the environment. Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy, and compliant at all times.
5. Prioritise Safety: Uphold safety protocols, promptly reporting any incidents or near misses to the Workshop/Transport Manager. Operate vehicles safely and securely, ensuring proper load handling and restraint.
6. Effective Collaboration: Communicate effectively within the team and across departments to fulfil customer requirements promptly.
7. Versatility: When not engaged in driving duties, assist workshop colleagues with various tasks as needed, leveraging your skills and training.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
1. Clean Driving License: Possess a valid and clean driving license.
2. Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service.
3. Attention to Detail: Maintain accuracy in tasks and communications.
4. Health and Safety Efficiency: Efficient in implementing health and safety practices.
5. Team Player: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
6. Driving: 1 year (required)
Desirable
1. Mechanical Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical principles.
2. Towing Experience: Previous experience in towing operations.
3. LGV Licenses: Possession of licenses for operating large goods vehicles.
4. Working on plant or vehicles: 1 year (preferred)
5. Towing: 1 year (preferred)
6. Mechanical engineering: 1 year (preferred)
