Market Engagement and Development Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised person to join the Commissioning and Contracts Team, based within Children and Family Services.
The post holder will work with colleagues in commissioning and social care to develop positive relationships with local care providers to ensure that Nottinghamshire provision is ‘reserved’ for Nottinghamshire children. They will develop an understanding of and report on the local provision for children in care including developing a system to track and report on voids and vacancies in Fostering, Residential and Supported accommodation, ensuring that children and young people have access to the most appropriate provision including graduated step-down and timely transition out of the care system.
The successful applicant will have a high level of personal drive and commitment to excellent customer care. Strong interpersonal skills to gain the agreement and acceptance of others including colleagues, senior managers and customers. Ability to make decisions and solve problems independently to meet operational targets, involving devising solutions and prioritising the resources available. Ability to meet agreed objectives and delivery of targets by the effective procurement and use of resources. You must be able to work well in a team and reflect on your own contribution to improve practice.
This service covers the whole of the County, the team is split between two bases: however, this post will be based at County Hall in West Bridgford. Team members work flexibly, working from home or different County Council buildings.
