Job description
Our client's Design team is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the department based in Leeds or Dewsbury. You will take on a leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.
As part of a multi-disciplined project team, some of your key duties will include:
1. Meeting with clients to discuss specific intervention requirements.
2. Carry out intrusive Electrical and ICA site surveys to identify the most appropriate solutions to complex problems.
3. Carry out the planning and implementation of projects.
4. Line management and development of assigned EICA staff.
5. Taking the lead on the development of EICA design deliverables by you and your team.
6. Providing technical guidance on EICA matters to the wider project team.
7. Assisting junior engineers and graduates with technical queries.
What do you need?
8. Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
9. Knowledge of British and European design standards.
10. A proven track record for a minimum of 5 years as an Electrical Engineer in both a design office and a construction environment within the Water (or related Process) industry.
