As the Sales Manager for Metallurgical Services Small Projects, you will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual in order to promote and champion valuable solutions, manage customer relationships, and ensure projects are secured and delivered to the agreed requirements.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identify and drive current and new sales/business opportunities for projects of up to £2m in value, including service support, revamps, refurbishments etc.
2. Create added value solutions to customer inquiries.
3. Build customer relationships, maintaining strong communication and effective management of client expectations.
4. Lead the bid process, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with policies, processes, and legalities.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure necessary technical clarifications or engineering activities are carried out on time and on budget.
6. Ensure handovers from Sales to Operational teams mitigate all risks during project execution.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Strong communication and presentation skills.
2. Sales-oriented with the ability to manage under pressure.
3. Good understanding of metals or heavy engineering industry and the technical and commercial requirements.
4. Strong finance and commercial awareness.
5. Awareness of sales and project execution strategies with the ability to tailor the strategy dependent on the customer and business needs.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be willing and fit to travel, potentially at short notice, accepting prolonged secondments on sites worldwide. A current UK driving license is required, as well as the right to live and work in the UK and travel internationally.
