Job overview
Following a service review in November 2022, it was highlighted that the Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation centres would all benefit from the development of a network across the region to support services. Collaborative working would ensure patients receive the best quality of care. Health professionals and organisations from primary, secondary, and tertiary care will work in a co-ordinated manner to reduce unwanted variation in access to services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and support the ongoing establishment of a new Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Network across the North East and Yorkshire. The Network is looking for an excellent Education and Training Lead to join a relatively new and growing team. The Network will provide strategic oversight and direction for local Spinal Cord Injuries services, including the design, guidance, and promotion of optimal care pathways supporting patient flow across geographical systems and individual partnership organisations.
The post holder will actively co-ordinate, promote, and contribute to inter-professional learning activities across the Network and be an effective role model for best practice.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work alongside Trust’s and community-based practice educator colleagues and clinical professionals in order to ensure equity of learning opportunities.
This will involve the development of programmes of education and training to ensure a unified approach and delivery for spinal cord injury education for adults and children. The post holder will be required to travel.
