We are looking for a detailed focused individual to join the Risk team and manage the data input to and from CONNECT to ensure it is of sound quality. You will be required to investigate any anomalies, tracing it back through to source and propose remedial action.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating and contributing to the maintenance, evolvement and data quality of CONNECT submissions. The role holder will also be required to support with any other form of risk reporting, particularly any which utilises CONNECT data.
What you will be responsible for…
* Lead the delivery of CONNECT data and being the main point of contact for any data quality points (both with HQ and local IT team) for any delivery delays and errors, working with all parties to ensure deliveries are made in good time.
* Monitor CONNECT data quality and identifying and underlying issues and investigating these issues and take right through to resolution. This may include fixes through changes to CONNECT data logic or alternatively changing processes to ensure source systems are reporting the correct data.
* Lead on all CONNECT glossary updates, liaising directly with both local IT and HQ counterparts.
* Working with external consultants where required to lead them on larger projects concerning CONNECT data quality or Finevare outputs/inputs.
* Production of dashboards to monitor overall data quality and identifying any issues with data quality.
* Reporting results of data quality monitoring to senior management in a clear and coherent manner.
* Have a thorough understanding of all CONNECT data fields and how these are used and translated in Finevare and having a comprehensive understanding of how changes/updates to fields will impact overall reporting and specifically Finevare provisions.
* Support HQ with BCBS 239 data quality requirements being the main point of contact and providing all required reports/evidence as requested by HQ and the ECB.
* Support with internal and external audits, where CONNECT data or other risk data is needed.
* Working directly with IT to resolve any reporting/CONNECT/Finevare delays ensuring all deliveries are made in good time and reported accordingly.
* Supporting Risk Reporting Analysts, Risk Analysts and Risk Manager as required and supporting Credit and Asset Risk director with any ad-hoc queries or any data/data quality queries.
* Ownership of IDPs across the department.
* Provide support across the department on data quality management projects & initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of:
* Solid commercial experience within the automotive/financial service industry, preferably in a Risk or comparable data/analytical environment.
* Experience working with large data sets, appreciating data quality and strong data discipline
* Expertise in the use of SAP, CMS and Excel.
* Proven high level mathematical capabilities and comfortable with large amounts of numeric data.
* Experience using Tableau Desktop/Prep.
* An understanding of VWFS system architecture would be advantageous.
* Understanding of accounting standards, particularly IFRS 9, would be advantageous
* A natural problem solver; able to analyse issues and work with others to develop solutions and lead change.
* Self-sufficient but also a team player who is quick to build effective working relationships.
* Able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines, whilst paying attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and able to communicate at all levels, including Senior Management.
* Motivated by new challenges and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
* Self-motivated individual able to cope with and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
