We are recruiting an experienced warehouse supervisor for our client's distribution centre based in Blackburn.
This is an exciting time to be joining an established business who operate across the UK and Europe on a journey of change. As part of the management team, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership and people skills to drive a change in culture through management.
This is a full-time position working on a rotating shift as follows:
1. 6am to 2pm Monday to Thursday / 6am to 1pm Friday
2. 1pm to 9pm Monday to Thursday / 1pm to 8pm Friday
Your duties will include:
1. Responsible for leading team members to achieve daily productivity targets. Effectively plan and communicate resource allocation across all warehouse functions to achieve published KPI targets. Competently utilise the warehouse management system and appropriate IT packages to aid this process.
2. Must be able to work within a team and to lead a team. Promote a positive culture through enthusiasm and a desire to achieve, motivate and empower team members to accomplish daily KPI targets.
3. Effective people management activities of all direct reports and team members through a hierarchical framework. Accountable for ensuring performance reviews and periodic check-ins are conducted in line with published intervals. The professional development of direct reports and team members to identify opportunities for career advancement, rising star candidates, and successor planning. Involvement in external recruitment processes as required.
4. Conduct disciplinary and investigations in accordance with company policies.
5. Responsible for ensuring mandatory and refresher training, PIPs, and PDPs are completed when necessary and within required timelines. All documentation is to be completed in line with company policies and procedures.
6. Responsible for managing time and attendance in accordance with company policies. Work collaboratively to positively manage team members' absence leave expectations, manage time and attendance fairly and consistently. Actively prioritise our people's happiness in their roles.
7. Put the customer at the forefront of everything you do. Ensure that the importance of customer satisfaction is firmly embedded throughout the team. Ensure that customer service expectations are consistently met.
