NTT GDC is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Director - Global Supply Chain (m/f/d). The Global Senior Director of supply chain is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the supply chain for Data Center construction, aligning with business objectives. This role involves planning, implementing, and managing all logistical activities and procedures within the supply chain. You will develop strategies and tools to mitigate supply chain impacts, including production planning, purchasing and vendor selection. Additionally, the position requires evaluating the organization’s supply chain performance against projected costs and timelines and coordinating activities across NTT GDC stakeholders. This position requires a leader with deep expertise in supply chain management, a strong understanding of the construction industry and the ability to manage complex global operations. This is a full time hybrid permanent position. What you will do Lead and manage a global team responsible for the supply chain management of construction services and equipment for Data Center projects Develop and execute a global supply chain strategy that aligns with company goals and support the efficient delivery of construction projects Develop and manage strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs, improve quality and ensure the timely delivery of construction materials and equipment Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, securing the best terms and conditions for the company Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including potential disruptions, supplier issues, and market fluctuations Lead post-project reviews to assess supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement Provide regular updates to senior leadership on supply chain performance, risks, and opportunities Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency and accountability within the supply chain team Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to supply chain and measure actual performance against these KPIs Build an analytics-based approach to support executive briefings and decision making along with managing complex data and dashboard outputs Addresses issues (e.g. change orders, late deliveries, disputes, invoice accuracy, etc) with suppliers What we are looking for Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field (Master’s degree preferred) Extensive demonstrated procurement and supply chain management required (preferably in a management role) Knowledge in best practice procurement processes, negotiating terms and pricing, cost reduction, supplier qualifications, vendor selections and logistics Must have overall expertise in Data Center construction Superior communication and analytical skills to prepare product demand forecasts and inventory management to best meet company strategic plan and roadmaps Proven facilitation skills between supplier and Buyer’s Agent Proven history of year-over-year (YOY) cost and/or time to market (TTM) reductions through continual improvement or innovation What we offer you An agile company culture with short decision-making paths and plenty of opportunities to show personal initiative Allowance for the use of public transport and job bikes Allowance for the use of sports facilities and a company gym Allowance for lunch Individual training and development opportunities Numerous other additional benefits such as birthday vouchers, employee advisory program, employee referral scheme, company events and much more We look forward to hearing from you Working for Global Data Centers EMEA We are one of the leading and largest data center provider and for more than 20 years we have been supporting our clients from a wide variety of industries with our talented team of nearly 900 people (m/f/d).
