What you’ll be doing: Lead claims management capabilities for the Claims Insights team within our Commercial division, driving and strengthening effective claims value management. Ensure effective receipt, review, and dissemination of claims management insights. Develop and mentor junior colleagues in our team. Guide and advise colleagues on best approaches for effective claims management. Interface with our data and analytical teams across the business to continue to improve our capabilities. Monitor performance of existing initiatives, identify changes and risks to targets. Support development and implementation of new products, process and service capabilities. Work on key strategic development programmes. Shape strategic plans through forecast projections and drivers of claims spend. Regulatory compliance of key initiatives. What you’ll bring: What you’ll bring: Substantial and highly relevant experience – a minimum of ten years, delivering, leading, and/or managing private medical insurance (PMI) claims or healthcare analytics within the private sector – using complex, overlapping, and imperfect data sources. Proven experience in minimising risk and error in analytics, including building safety mechanisms and verification when working with complex datasets and those linked to automated / semi-automated data fees. Understanding of the design, development and implementation of data products and modelling (though development and implementation is not part of this role), and able to collaboratively work with BI, MI, product, and other data teams across the business to deliver at pace. Proficiency with SQL and ideally at least one other coding language. Demonstrated success in developing and advancing the performance of a healthcare organisation. Track record of mentoring and guiding analytical colleagues. Analytical experience of identifying clinical issues, changes within spend and condition categories. Ability to analyse changes in provider treatment behaviour and overall health data developments.Design, development and implementation of data products and modelling expertise. Relationship management and networking skills. Ambition, drive, and flexibility, with the ability to deliver to tight timelines.
