Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Clinical Social Worker in our CAMHS East team, delivering a high quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and their families. We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated social worker who is willing to develop skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of children and young people; to deliver care, advice and support to children and young people with mental health problems. You must be a SWE registered social worker and possess experience of working directly with service users. You will be responsible for demonstrating excellent clinical outcomes and safe and effective delivery of care to children and young people. CAMHS East is a caring, supportive and hard working team which prides itself on working creatively, innovatively and inclusively. We have a number of ongoing projects including working in partnership with young people to re design our clinic room spaces, working to better meet the needs of young people with neurodiversity who are accessing our service, and the development of the intervention offer for families of our young people. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for assessing, formulating and providing treatment plans for children, adolescents and their families, in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. As a newly qualified social worker the post holder will be required to develop the knowledge and skills over a period of time via the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment scheme (ASYE) to demonstrate their ability to deliver the high standards of care required of a Clinical Social Worker. The post holder will be required to prioritise attendance at all training, attend supervision and apply reflective practice continuously to enable learning needs to be identified and met. The post holder will provide advice, guidance and consultation for professionals from other agencies and other team members, and will be prepared to develop skills in teaching, training and supervision, through the supervision of social work students.
