Job Description:
* The technology support specialistprovides onsite IT support at a customer site. This position isresponsible for a wide variety of hardware software application andas a Service technologies throughout the healthcare system.
* This functionincludes support to incident break/fix service request fulfillmentdeployments upgrades hardware lifecycle management andcollaborative work with other tier II and III IT and sharedservices teams throughout the organization as the boots on theground resource.
Primary Responsibilities &Competencies:
* Provide customer service support to both internal usersexternal customers and vendors.
* Install deploy troubleshoot repair maintain andlifecycle hardware and software throughout theorganization.
* Maintains detailed and accurate records in workloadmanagement asset management and administrativeapplications.
* Provides tier I and II support in all areas of theorganizational service portfolio.
* Provides excellent customer service to alllevels of employees including customers peers andleadership.
* Accurately follows documentation and checklists toensure efficiency and consistency.
* Participates and engages in team meetingsteam building activities and other opportunities to strengthen thedepartment.
* Communicates in a professional positive and timelymanner in person on the phone and via electronic means.
* Uses routine troubleshootingmethodologies that provide efficient effective resolution andminimize impact to the customer.
* Selfdirected once assigned work and functions withconsiderable independence.
* Shows an interest in learning more advanced aspects ofthe functional skills.
* Actively maintains a level of selfstudy related totechnology and customer service.
* Able to communicate with the customer in nontechnicalterms so the users can understand.
Qualifications:
* Associate degree in relevant fieldwith 4 years technical support experience or 6 years of technicalsupport experience in lieu of a degree.
* Experience with the deployment repair andmaintenance of computer hardware such as workstations laptops IPphones smartphones tablets printers copiers andscanners.
* Experiencewith the deployment repair and maintenance of software such as theMicrosoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
* Familiarity with generalnetworking and customer/server concepts.
* Ability to lift 40 lbs work in an environmentof varying temperatures ability to navigate withinbuildings/units/floors and travel throughout the service deliveryarea with a reliable mode of transportation
