As Ashdale Engineering & Lifting Services look to expand, we are looking to appoint additional mechanical fitters/installers.
The role:
Working at client sites including hydrocarbon and utilities (Water & Waste) or in our workshop in Milford Haven. Reporting to the director, you will be responsible for general mechanical fitting and assembly of pipework, structural steel work, pumps, valves, and general engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standard and in a timely fashion.
To be considered for the role, you will:
1. Be able to interpret engineering drawings (mechanical a must, electrical a plus)
2. Have sound experience in general engineering
3. Build assemblies and sub-assemblies
4. Be hard working and a respectful ambassador for the company
5. Be a team player with a team attitude.
Skills & Experience:
1. Ideally a trained apprentice and/or time served, qualified Mechanical Fitter/Assembler
2. Experienced at reading and interpreting engineering drawings and able to follow written instructions and method statements
3. Commitment to working to high levels of health, safety, welfare, and environmental compliance
4. Compliance with applicable quality management system requirements
5. Previous experience of working with pipework, structural steel work, pumps, and valves.
6. CSCS, CCNSG, SHEA Water, National Water Hygiene, City & Guilds accredited Confined Space is beneficial, but training can be provided.
Key Requirements:
1. Self-starter with the maturity to be able to work with minimal supervision but equally, knows when support is needed
2. Trustworthy and a good communicator to ensure customers/clients and your team have confidence in you.
3. Full UK driving licence
4. This role may require a Disclosure Scotland declaration.
Normal Hours: Monday-Thursday 08.00 to 16:30, Friday 08.00 to 15.30
