We have two full time vacancies, one at Southend and one at Broomfield hospital. We would be supportive of applicants requesting job shares and flexible working. We require candidates who are able to work on their own initiative, as well as in a team with a displayed interest in the link between physical and psychological health. Main duties of the job The Psychological Therapies Service is a hospital based psychological service, offering treament for both inpatients and outpatients from a wide range of medical specialities. We are an experienced multidisciplinary team which includes psychotherapists, counsellors, clinical and counselling psychologists, mental health liaison staff and administrators. We prioritise supporting our staff and their development by providing both individual and group supervision as well as regular team discussions. You will link closely with the critical care and oncology and palliative care medical teams. The role involves working with inpatients and outpatients as well as providing a psychological perspective within the wider system. An interest in trauma, and experience of evidence based models would be helpful.
