We are seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to support our busy office with a variety of accounting and administrative duties. Key Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Assistant, your role will involve:
1. Expense Management: Matching and batching receipts for expenses and credit cards.
2. Data Entry: Posting expenses, credit card transactions, and purchase ledger invoices using Sage 50.
3. Project Invoicing: Posting subcontractor invoices onto projects via our timesheet entry system, Coretime.
4. Credit Control: Chasing debtor invoices with customers and maintaining daily debtor reports.
5. Bank Reconciliation: Performing reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
6. Reporting: Generating weekly utilisation reports to track project efficiency.
7. Client Liaison: Invoicing clients and collaborating with project managers for seamless operations.
8. Administrative Support: Assisting with ad hoc accounts and administrative duties, including setting up projects on Coretime and providing holiday cover for team members.
9. Health and Safety Assistance: Supporting health and safety tasks in the office as required.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience: While prior accounts experience is preferable, we are open to candidates who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and grow in this role.
2. Organisational Skills: You must be able to organise and prioritise your workload effectively, adapting to changing work patterns with ease.
3. Technical Proficiency: A competent user of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Sage 50 is essential.
4. Team Player: A positive approach to teamwork is crucial. You will be working closely with the Finance Manager, Assistant Accountant, and part-time Administrative Assistant.
