Our client, a leading organisation in the IT sector, is currently seeking a SAM Specialist to join their IT Optimisation - Software Asset Management team in Bournemouth. This is a permanent, full-time role with a hybrid working pattern, requiring two days per week in the office. Flexible working options are available.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and optimising effective licence positions for a major complex vendor
2. Developing and maintaining Asset Management tooling and databases
3. Ensuring accurate reporting of vendor compliance
4. Developing optimised vendor licence positions
5. Collaborating with the wider Asset Management Team to identify software products within the estate
6. Processing Proof of Entitlement to manually match to applications where automatic reconciliation is not possible
7. Reviewing and importing new purchase information from third-party systems into SAM tooling
8. Qualifying and verifying all data sources required for SAM processing
Job Requirements:
1. Experience in delivering effective licence positions within a Software Asset Management capacity
2. Good working knowledge of complex licensing for major vendors such as Microsoft or Oracle
3. Knowledge of emerging technologies and associated licensing models
4. Experience analysing and preparing effective licence positions
5. Proficiency with at least one SAM tool (e.g. Snow, Flexera, License Optimizer, Xensam)
