Project Engineer

Role Overview:
As a Project Engineer, you will manage technical responsibilities for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installation works across the UK. Predominantly office-based with frequent site visits, you'll coordinate materials, equipment, and documentation (e.g., Risk Assessments, Method Statements), working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To oversee the engineering, planning & execution of site works inclusive of mechanical & electrical installations, servicing and commissioning, ensuring correct equipment, tooling and materials are available to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality installations of the internal product on-site.
2. To provide direct liaison to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a clear plan and leveraging support from stakeholders where required to deliver outcomes.
3. To liaise with any other area of the business as is necessary to organise and attend 'ready for site' sessions, conducting desktop site works rehearsals and ensuring thorough preparation.
4. To produce & oversee fulfilment of works Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work, Toolbox Talks, COSHH assessments and safe working procedures, ensuring the health and safety of personnel for the working activity.
5. To undertake site audits/visits, producing and submitting any required site reports and overseeing standards of workmanship & professionalism for internal systems and installations.
6. To help the organisation continuously improve and undertake developments in the Site Services function, inclusive of developing process & procedures and being a key stakeholder in digitisation opportunities.
About You:
1. Relevant project engineering experience within a customer-based or customer focused environment delivering technical installation & commissioning work scopes.
2. Technical background in Mechanical & Electrical installation, as an installer and/or engineer.
3. Experience with systems of work such as Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Toolbox Talks and Permits to Work.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. HNC or above in relevant technical discipline. This may be substituted for significant, demonstrable working experience.
6. City & Guilds/NVQ in relevant technical discipline.
