An exciting opportunity for Rotational Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officers have become available within the Pharmacy Department at Russells Hall Hospital. The duties will include stock control, dispensing, specialist cleaning, order completion, unpacking goods received and record keeping. The job also involves moving and handling of drug deliveries and bulk fluids. Training is available to provide the post holder with skills to visit wards, dispense and issue medicine stocks. Individuals with recent dispensing/relevant experience would be welcome. This is a rotational post which will involve working in different areas of the Pharmacy - distribution, dispensary and aseptic unit. Work will be supported by the provision of clear standard operating procedures and under the guidance of Senior Pharmacy Technician. To assist in specialist cleaning duties within the pharmacy. A structured, competency-based scheme will support the post holder in training to the standard of NVQ level 2 in Pharmaceutical Service Skills.
