From engaging commissioners to identifying funding opportunities, youll be central to creating pathways for transformative impact. Leadership & Strategy Inspire and lead the Business Development team, implementing strategies that align with income goals and broader organisational growth objectives. Income Generation & Partnership Building Lead efforts in bid writing, partnership creation, and relationship building with commissioners and funders. Team Management Oversee and develop the Business Development team, with a focus on maximising income through targeted services, such as Family and Significant Others Services, Prison Education, and NHSE initiatives. Business Development Delivery Take ownership of managing bids, securing funding, and expanding services within the justice and community sectors. Strategic Development & Networking Represent the organisation at key events, collaborating with Executive colleagues to ensure the mission is fulfilled effectively. Must-Have Qualifications & Experience: Strong literacy and numeracy skills; degree educated or equivalent (desirable). Proven expertise in the criminal justice sector, particularly Criminal Justice Health. In-depth knowledge of commissioning and procurement processes, and experience leading successful bids. Strong understanding of business planning, organisational management, and government contracting. Financial literacy with budget management experience. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a talent for persuasive communication across various audiences. Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft applications and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
