Job summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Practitioner within Head and Neck theatres, covering plastics, OMFS, ENT, paediatrics and emergencies, day unit surgery and Redcar Hospital. If you are looking for a challenge and you wish to join a friendly multidisciplinary team then this post may be right for you.
Main duties of the job:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse or ODP with a passion for working within the theatre scrub team or a novice with the drive to learn a complex and rewarding role. If you have ambition and drive we will support you in achieving your goals.
The theatres provide an operating service to the following clinical specialities:
1. General Surgery
2. Gynaecology
3. Urology
4. Plastic Surgery
5. Orthopaedics
6. Maxillofacial
7. Neurosurgery
8. ENT
9. Obstetrics
10. IVF
11. Paediatrics
12. Emergency theatres

Leadership and Improvement Training: South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:

Knowledge:

Qualifications:
1. Nursing Associate Qualification Degree/Diploma
2. Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
3. GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent

1. Experience working within an acute or community setting
2. Experience of Multi-disciplinary working
