Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Operating & Finance Officer (COFO) will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across both finance and investment operations functions to ensure financial robustness, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in the Finance and Investment Operations teams.

As a member of the Executive Committee, the COFO will contribute to the wider business strategy, culture and philosophy of the firm and help the company towards achieving its strategic goals. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the company delivers value for money for their stakeholder.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of both operational and financial strategy within a regulated investment or asset management context and will work closely with senior leaders to ensure the effective alignment of the firm’s operations with its financial goals.

* Seeking an accomplished professional with a strong track record in both financial and operational leadership within the asset management or financial services sector; with a genuine interest in the concept of pensions, understanding of the unique dynamics and complexities associated with UK pension funds, including regulatory requirements, member expectations, and fiduciary responsibilities, the role holder will have a commitment to achieving cost efficiencies and enhanced returns.

Key Responsibilities Leadership
* Take a lead role in strategic development and delivery of business strategy and goals of the firm as an active member of the Executive Committee.
* Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial and operations strategy and implementation. Identifying opportunities for process and technology improvements and efficiencies.
* Oversee financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
* Oversee the preparation of financial statements of the Company, the fund vehicles and the private markets Limited Partnerships, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery.
* Ensure delivery of the asset transition plan and development of tax and cost-efficient products
* Ensure the financial integrity of the firm through sound and effective financial management and regulatory compliance and maintaining the appropriate level of regulatory capital.
* Lead the relationship with external auditors, ensuring smooth coordination and timely audits that uphold transparency, compliance, and financial best practices.
* Ensure that reporting is delivered to internal and external stakeholders to provide transparency, support compliance, and inform strategic decision making.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, Board, and Executive Team to enable informed and effective decision-making that drives organisational success.
* Oversight and management of annual reporting and accounts to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and the provision of reliable information for stakeholders.
* Present to stakeholders on the financial position of the company at company general meetings to build trust, provide clarity, and foster accountability.
* Oversight of the outsourced service provision for finance and operations to ensure quality of service and value for money to support operational efficiency and costeffectiveness.
* Lead the risk management and governance of the finance and operations portfolio to safeguard the company’s financial stability, ensure operational resilience, and uphold robust governance standards
