About the Role
We have a fixed term vacancy for the role of Homelessness Prevention Officer to join RBC Housing Services.
Providing comprehensive advice on housing options including privately rented, owner occupied properties and housing allocations systems for social landlords. Preventing homelessness through mediation and early intervention work.
We require an individual who is passionate about the real-life difference that homelessness provision makes in our community and you will want to be a pro-active part of our service achieving that aim and who will be responsible for the management of their own case load.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and well-rounded candidate, who has an outstanding track record of building and maintaining relevant relationships, who is a creative thinker, with superb written and verbal communication skills.
An in-depth knowledge of homelessness and housing legislation is essential and technical knowledge in order to investigate homelessness and have responsibility for making decisions under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Children Act 1989 and participate in training on relevant legislation homelessness.
