Hours: 30 Per week (Annualised hours) 1170 hours per year

Edsential have an exciting opportunity for you to join our catering team as an assistant catering manager at The Conway Centre, Anglesey. This is a chance to provide support and deputise for the catering manager, ensuring that the team serves nutritious healthy meals that the visiting children will love.
The responsibilities:
Oversight of key food provisions such as portion control, preparation and cooking of meals. While ensuring that standards are met for those with special diets, allergens and intolerances for breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
Provide daily cover/deputisation for the Catering Manager on shift ensuring accurate records are maintained i.e. costs, productivity, stock control, food orders, allergens, sickness and accident reporting.

This role offers great flexibility of working hours and days, with an annualised system in place to ensure the needs of the service are met during busier periods of business but also ensuring employee security with a guaranteed monthly salary.
Our ideal Cook should have the below skills and experience:
You will be flexible to work hours between 7am-8pm and some weekends
NVQ level 2 in food preparation/cooking or equivalent experience- Essential
Food Safety Level 2 or 3 – Desirable
A good understanding of allergens and intolerances – Essential
Core Qualifications in Maths and English – Essential
A clear understanding of COSHH and HACCP -Essential
Experience of working in a catering environment and including the supervision of staff – Essential
