If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.
If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.
As part of our Chief Engineer’s Asset Intelligence and Innovation team, we’re tackling some of the most pressing challenges in the water sector, from harnessing cutting-edge technologies to shaping global water strategies. Now, we need an Asset Management Modelling Team Lead to establish and lead a new team within our Data Science and Modelling function, which is part of our broader Asset Intelligence & Innovation area.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Build and Lead a New Team: Play a pivotal role in creating a new team by attracting, recruiting, and developing top talent. Your leadership will inspire a team of modellers to excel and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Develop and Shape Our Modelling Strategy: Collaborate closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to shape the waste modelling strategy. You will create a strategic roadmap that outlines how we can use hydraulic modelling to enhance decision-making across the organisation.
Innovate with Advanced Technologies: Identify and pursue opportunities to integrate hydraulic modelling with AI, ML, and data science. Your work will help us solve complex challenges and drive innovation within the business.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various teams, including the broader modelling community, to understand their needs and deliver tailored, high-impact solutions. Effective cross-functional collaboration will be key to your success.
Drive Results: You’ll be expected to deliver high-quality results at pace, adapting to emerging demands and reprioritising tasks as needed. Your ability to turn concepts into real, tangible solutions quickly will be critical.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity, and a caring attitude, we want to talk to you, too.
In this role, we would be looking for someone who has a degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) would be ideal. You will also need experience with waste hydraulic modelling and a strong understanding of waste networks and systems. We are looking for someone who is able to think outside the box to develop novel solutions, driven to see ideas through to tangible results, and capable of responding to emerging demands and reprioritising activities quickly based on the business’s needs.
We want someone who has proven experience in leading a modelling team is desirable, as is a track record of driving innovative projects to successful completion. While not required, experience with or an understanding of data science, AI, and ML concepts will be highly beneficial.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences, and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities.
We want people who show up and get involved. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?
