Consultant Haematologist - Renowned Hospital
Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the Crewe/Stoke area to help recruit 3 x Consultant Haematologist for a substantive basis.

The Trust provides both inpatient and outpatient management of a wide variety of benign and malignant haematological disorders as would be typical of a District General Hospital haematology practice. There is a Level 2a Clinical Haematology inpatient, outpatient and day-case service at the Hospital, with patients accessing Level 3 care at a nearby NHS Trust.
The current haematology inpatient and outpatient case mix consists of general haematology, low grade haematological malignancy which includes chronic myeloid and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, low grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, high grade NHL, Hodgkin lymphoma, myeloma plus myelodysplasias and a variety of haemostatic and thrombotic problems.
The post holder is expected to have training and expertise in both malignant and non-malignant aspects of haematology. The Consultant in Haematology will undertake both new and follow up outpatient clinics across the week, and will provide continuing responsibility for patients under their care, both by working with other consultant colleagues and by supervising advanced and clinical nurse specialists.
Main Duties include:
1. To lead and develop and implement best practice in Haematology
2. To support the existing staff at site in the delivery of a high quality service
3. To be a core member of the regional Cancer Network Southern Sector Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
4. Membership on Hospital Transfusion Committee
5. NEQAS film reporting
