My client is searching for a Private Client Solicitor to join their offices based in Devizes, Wiltshire on a Hybrid basis. Overview of the Role: The role of the solicitor within the Private Client department is to undertake fee earning work for private clients of the practice across the following high-level areas: • Probate and estate administration • Wills • Tax • LPAs • Lifetime Tax Planning • Farming and agricultural estate planning • Court of Protection • IPFD Claims • Trusts • Conveyancing The role is to assist a partner with an established caseload, working in conjunction with, and independently of, the partner concerned. A sound knowledge of probate and deeds of variation is essential for this role. A knowledge of trusts and tax would be an advantage. Management: • Supervision of a secretary. • Providing input and direction to the Partners as required concerning the management of the team. Experience and knowledge: • 0-3 years' PQE. If newly qualified, at least one 6-month seat in this legal area. • Experience of managing own workload effectively, particularly in a pressurised environment • Strong organisational skills • Willingness to learn and expand upon knowledge • Flexible approach to work • Experience of liaising with courts/tribunals/other legal bodies • Recognised professional qualification as a Solicitor entitling the role-holder to practice in England & Wales. • Current practicing certificate (or entitlement to obtain one) from the Law Society Benefits • The role offers the opportunity to study for the STEP diploma. • Competitive salary and benefits package. • Opportunities for professional growth and development. • Flexible working hours and remote work options.
