About the role We are looking to recruit a research associate/assistant to fill a short-term position (until 31 May 2025). The researcher will join a vibrant group of researchers in the mathematical sciences at the University of Bath, working in the areas of fluid mechanics and asymptotics, with the intention of completing the final stages of the programme Exponential asymptotics for multi-dimensional systems in fluid mechanics. The role will involve some of the following tasks: (i) working together with the PI to prepare scientific and visual media related to communicating the study of asymptotics and fluid mechanics; (ii) applying techniques in asymptotic analysis and numerical computation to study problems in water waves and interfacial flows As a member of Research Staff at the University of Bath, you will be encouraged to take up a minimum of 10 days professional development pro rata per year.
