Candidate required: Project Planner Job Type: Permanent Start date: ASAP Industry: Construction Professionals South Location: West London The role & about the client: We are recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for an experienced Project Planner for a large scale construction project near Hayes in West London. Our client are specialists within the data, defence and energy sectors. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (or other scheduling software). Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines. Identify critical path activities and potential delays, recommending mitigation strategies. Provide regular progress reports and schedule updates to senior management and clients. Conduct risk analysis and scenario planning to assess potential impacts on project timelines. Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to track material and resource availability. Ensure compliance with project controls, company policies, and industry best practices. Support claims and variations by providing detailed time-impact analysis when required. The ideal candidate Proven experience as a Project Planner in large-scale construction projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling tools. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and planning principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks. Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities. Knowledge of contract management principles, particularly NEC, JCT, or FIDIC contracts (preferred).
