Due to continued expansion, our client, a successful and reputable chartered accountants, is looking to recruit a dedicated and successful Qualified Practice Accountant to complement their team. This role can be remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dealing with complex queries, preparation of annual accounts and performance management.
2. Working within the existing accounts preparation team to prepare accounts for a variety of sole traders, partnerships, and incorporated businesses.
3. Preparing management accounts for clients within a specified timeframe.
4. Providing complex tax advice.
5. Handling complaints and complex issues from clients.
6. Preparation and dealing with HMRC audits or investigations.
7. Working within a budget to prepare a fully cross-referenced file and financial statements for manager review.
8. Assisting clients on an ad hoc basis with bookkeeping services and preparation of VAT Returns.
9. Ensuring manager review points are satisfactorily cleared.
10. Communicating with clients in a professional and confident manner and managing the day-to-day relationship with clients.
11. Communicating effectively with internal departments.
12. Assisting in the department with any additional ad hoc duties and queries.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will be ACA/ACCA qualified/finalist. You will demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation, external auditing, and corporate and personal tax. Experience in managing a client portfolio, tender writing, staff management, and advanced knowledge of VAT, PAYE, shareholding, and dividends is also required.
