About the role
We have designed a market leading 12-week Transition to Perioperative Nursing Scrub Scout (Instrument/Circulating) Program, with the successful participants to join our team in either full-time or part-time (30 hours per week) roles.
* 28th April 2025 start date with permanent employment from day one
* Partnering with highly experienced Theatre Clinical Facilitators dedicated to supporting your development
* Experience a blended learning program with on-the-job training supported by comprehensive Training Materials and Coaching
* National study sessions to connect with fellow participants in the program
* Celebrate your achievements at the program graduation ceremony
About you
We are looking for candidates who have:
* At least 2 years of experience post registration in an acute hospital setting
* Registered nurse qualification with current APHRA registration
* A genuine passion to transition into the theatre environment and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and development
* Permanent work rights within Australia with no restrictions (sponsorship is not available for this program)
* A Working with Children Check, National Police Check or be willing to obtain
* The ability to commit to a rotating roster including AM, PM/nights, weekends and public holidays, with shifts ranging from 8 – 10 hours
* Developed clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* The ability to work well independently and within a team
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
