The opportunity: To be fully responsible for all areas of manufacture within Cut Crease.
How you will impact WestRock:
1. All production and PMR activities of the department,
2. Day to day management of the staff and processes
3. Agree, produce and ensure adherence to all Cut Crease Productivity and Quality KPIs
4. Produce all Monthly Production and Quality reports relevant to areas of responsibility
5. Communicate all relevant information to C&C team members on all four shifts
6. Absence Management of team members including holiday planning, control & reduction of overtime
7. Understand lean principles and assist manufacturing team in implementing cost reduction projects within manufacturing environment.
8. Performance management of team members to include annual development reviews.
9. Implement process improvement activities. Work with the Operations Director to ensure that as a team we provide the best service to our customers in terms of OTIF, and quality of product
10. Understanding of customer requirements and liaison where required
11. Deliver C&C Maintenance program
12. Fully investigate complaints and implement corrective actions including disciplinary proceedings if required. Consistent approach required.
13. Support the Production Planner.
14. To ensure that all areas of responsibility retain high levels of housekeeping
15. To be Health and Safety focused at all time. To identify and address any non conforming areas
16. Work with the HR Officer to ensure the Absence Management process is followed and conduct return to work reviews when required
17. Conduct return to work reviews when required
18. Drive continuous improvement and best practice initiatives
19. Validate all data taken from SFDC and prepare reports in standard format
20. Control the Stripping team ensuring the products are available for Finishing when required in line with PSA.
What you need to succeed :
21. Strong mechanical skills and pragmatic approach to problem solving
22. Willingness to develop operator level skills
23. Understanding of IT systems and its practical applications
24. Good people skills
25. Exposure to change management processes.
26. Awareness of current SHE and employment legislation/standards.
27. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
28. Project management and problem solving skills.
29. Numerical /Verbal reasoning skills at management norm (SHL).
30. Lean thinking knowledge and understanding
31. Information handling.
