Exciting Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor
At Baily Garner we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with project team leader responsibilities to join our multidisciplinary team in Birmingham. This role offers the potential for hybrid working, allowing you to balance office and home life effectively. You'll be working on a diverse range of projects across sectors such as housing, education, commercial, regeneration, and blue light.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client liaison, present schemes, manage project programming, and address matters affecting service delivery.
* Act as the Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
* Appoint and manage the performance of the Professional Team.
* Prepare and present initial appraisals and feasibility reports.
* Delegate duties while retaining overall responsibility for achievement.
* Prepare budget estimates, cost plans, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements.
* Formulate briefs, fee proposals, and present schemes or services.
* Prepare recommendations for interim payments, assess anticipated final costs, measure work, adjust variations, and prepare final accounts.
* Participate in meetings and manage project work.
Ideal Candidate:
* Associate membership of RICS or equivalent.
* Excellent core quantity surveying and project management skills.
* Proven track record of managing programmes of work and complex building contracts.
* Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (BSc (Hons) degree or similar in Building Surveying/Quantity Surveying/Project Management) or equivalent knowledge and competence.
