Join Our Team as an Assistant Coordinator at Brighton OSHC!
Do you love working with children and want to grow your career in Outside School Hours Care? Brighton OSHC, located at St Kieran’s Primary School, is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator to join our team!
We provide before & after school care and vacation care for children in the Brighton-Sandgate parish community. Our service caters to up to 90 children, creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment.
This role is a great stepping stone toward a leadership position in the near future. You’ll get hands-on experience with helping to run the service and have the opportunity to step up when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including:
* Program planning, delivery, and documentation
* Staff rostering and supervision
* Administration and financial management tasks (e.g. fee collection)
* Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
* Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
* Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
* Participate in professional and personal development
* Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator.
* Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Centacare Child Care Services
Job Requirements:
* Diploma in Children Services or ACECQA Equivalent
* Experience in the education and care of children.
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
* Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
* Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
* Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
