We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Radiology Appointments Co-ordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care by managing an efficient appointment system and supporting the Radiology Clerical Services Manager. This position requires working across multiple sites including King's Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital, and CDC.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide a high-quality service to patients attending the X-Ray Department by managing an efficient appointments system, considering modernisation requirements for new “booking” methods.
• Support the Radiology Clerical Services Manager by monitoring waiting times for radiology activities in line with local and national targets.
• Ensure the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
• Create and monitor rotas, ensuring the CRIS diary reflects the availability and clinic skills of radiologists and sonographers.
• Monitor diagnostic waiting lists, prioritise 2WW patients, and escalate capacity issues.
• Liaise with radiologists and sonographers, managing any necessary list cancellations at short notice.
• Book complex radiology procedures according to booking protocols.
